Who we are

Jackie's Swim School, Richards Bay, 3900, KwaZulu-Natal. We are the responsible party for personal information collected through this website, as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us when you enquire about lessons or a corporate course: your name, email address, phone number, the swimmer's age and any message you write. If the swimmer is a child, we ask that a parent or guardian makes the enquiry.

How we collect it

When you submit the enquiry form on our Contact page, your details are emailed to us from the website. We also email a confirmation copy to the address you gave. They are not stored on the website itself. You can also phone or email us directly.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry
• To arrange and run lessons or courses
• To contact you about your booking

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.

Cookies

This website does not set tracking or advertising cookies. When you choose Accept or Decline on the cookie notice, we save that choice in your browser so we do not ask again. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Third parties

Our Facebook link takes you to Facebook, which has its own privacy policy. We share your information with other people only where the law requires it, or where it is needed to run your lessons.

How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any lessons that follow, and we take reasonable steps to keep them secure.

Your rights

You may ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email swim@jackiesswimschool.co.za or phone 079 771 2710. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
